Teacher Introduction

YOSUKE INDA

Cello

Yosuke Inda attended the Tokyo University of the Arts High School of Music and, after graduating from the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, went to Europe to study at the Prague Conservatory in the Czech Republic. He has studied under Akito Saito, Fumiaki Kono, Tomoya Kikuchi, Shohei Uemori, and Vladan Kočí. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras, including a collaboration with Tomáš Jamník in a double concerto at Dvořák Hall in the Czech Republic.

In addition to his solo work, he actively performs in a variety of musical formats, such as duos with his violinist sister, Chihiro Inda, the quartet “Miyabi,” the sextet “Naorai,” which includes instruments like shakuhachi and bandoneon, and the instrumental band “Harry’s Tail.” He is involved in chamber music, orchestras, and recording sessions, engaging in a wide range of activities beyond classical music.

He completed the certified NPO Triton Arts Network “Outreach Seminar” program and has won numerous awards, including first place in the Chamber Music Division of the Tateshina Music Competition in Tokyo and the gold medal in the String Ensemble Division of the Youth Prague International Music Competition.

He has released many CDs, including Urban Shadows (Harry’s Tail), Water Droplets - A Collection of Duo Masterpieces, Akio Sugawara Instrumental Works Collection (Unaccompanied Cello Sonata), and Nao Rai.
